beautiful old churches

I am always captivated by beautiful old churches

This is the First United Methodist Church in downtown Ft. Worth

In 1874 the church was built as a one structure, but continued to evolve until 1930.

To the side of the sanctuary is a beautiful courtyard

I could just sit there for hours

and drink in all of the beauty

Beautiful! I always imagine what it must have been like for those who built them. Thanks for sharing.

  2. That is GORGEOUS. We have old churches here too (well, Jamestown kind of old – not European kind of old) but they are simple one room white structures. Beautiful in their own way. 🙂

One would think they were in another country…course Texas is another country!
